1. Don't be an asshole
2. Don't do illegal stuff
3. Only upload either artwork you've made yourself or artwork made by an artist that has already uploaded artwork to this site.
This is to limit the scope of this booru to a more "casual doodle" friendly environment instead of opening the floodgates to the wealth of existing artwork out there (especially if it's already in another booru out there). This is not a place to "collect random porn". It's a place to store your own silly doodles (or completed artworks), be they NSFW or not, and be able to easily tag and share them around.
ζζΈγ (Tegaki), is japanese for "handwritten; hand-painted; hand-drawn". It's very much the theme of this booru! It's for artists who want to participate in a shared tagging & sharing system for organizing their own silly doodles (or completed artworks!)
3.1 Exceptions
The exceptions are when artwork is gifted to someone explicitly (ownership for that artwork has changed), in this circumstance the source link of the upload should be set to give attribution to the original artist that can be used to determine the gifting / exchange of ownership, as well as letting people know where they can find more of that artwork. An example of this can be seen here.
When an artist is creating a continuation or remix of art that already exists on this site, but they themselves have not posted on the site with an artist tag. In this circumstance, only the artwork that constitutes the continuation or remix should be uploaded, and to keep this intention scoped and organized, add a DNP artist tag to that artwork if you know an artist handle, if not use the `tagme` tag. Furthermore, if the artwork is a continuation, it should in some way clearly indicate that it is in fact a continuation. This could be either through adding it to a pool with the artwork that it builds upon (recommended), or through some less structured way, such as adding character or artist tags, or a via a comment (least recommended). If the artwork is a remix then this should also be indicated through appropriate tags (such as via a `character`, or `series` tag or via comments (least recommended). An example of continuation can be seen here.
4. Tag the artist when you upload images!
4.1 If you upload art of another artist
You must find an existing tag of the artist and apply it!
4.2 If you are the artist
It's strongly recommended, but not required, as you will appear as the uploader for that image, but if you don't have at least one artist tag associated with your art then other people will not be allowed to upload your art here. This is to avoid wrongly uploading doodles against the wishes of artists outside this booru's ecosystem. If you want to be in control of all the artworks that are uploaded here of you as an artist, you can create an artist tag using the following format:
artist:artist-name:DNPThis lets others know not to upload images with that tag, only you as the artist themself will be allowed to post with that tag.
DNP stands for `Do Not Post`, and posting with this tag is usually reserved for the artist / owner of the artwork to let others know that they are not allowed to post artwork by that artist. It's very easy to check the uploader against the artist tag to see if you're breaking this rule. This is to let artists that perhaps only want to upload some of their artwork here, but not all, or if they just don't feel comfortable about having other random people upload art of theirs.
